Why ART CAMP?

(f)route is an ever-evolving project.

It began with local (f)route breakfasts - sharing fruit among locals and visitors.
(thanks to the Centre for Rural Communities & Nowa Nowa Arts Melange)

We took a road trip and made plans.
(with seed funding from the Regional Arts Fund and the Australia Council.)

We created (f)route CARTs.
(thanks to Arts Victoria) (and East Gippsland Shire Council).

We explored (f)route CARTography. (mapping fruit and art).
 (thanks to Regional Arts Fund).

It created (f)routeville - a BIG breakfast with art & music.
Thanks to the Nicholson River Winery.

(f)route  evolved into a social enterprise - an artist-made travel bureau.
(thanks to the Social Traders CRUNCH program).

And built a shopfront at Docklands - called (f)routeLAND
(thanks to Renew Australia/Docklands Spaces)
(and a Regional Arts Fund Quick Response Grant)

It is now building the social enterprise.
Creating the brand, developing itineraries, packaging TOURs
(thanks to Regional Development Victoria).

Our purpose - to create vibrant communities where you can aspire to make a creative and ethical living.

And, therefore allow us to invest in the artists and fruitists of the region by bringing adventurous, responsible, cultural travellers -  who bring life to remote places.

ART CAMP is a KEY element of the business plan.

We are about to figure out how to make a good ART CAMP.
